Medical Staff Student and Observer Process

**** THE OBSERVER PROGRAM AT GOOD SAMARITAN HOSPITAL IS NOW FULL. ADDITIONAL REQUESTS MAY BE SUBMITTED AFTER SEPTEMBER 15TH. ****

 Welcome to the Bon Secours Charity Health System, Medical Staff Services Department. We sincerely hope that you have an enriching experience with us. Please make sure that all appropriate paperwork is completed as directed below. We look forward to meeting you.

*** ATTENTION CLINICAL ROTATION STUDENTS ***

All Clinical Rotation students must return the required paperwork to the Medical Staff Office 4 weeks prior to their rotation.  After the paperwork has been submitted, kindly contact the Onsite Clinical Director to discuss your start date. Training in the Epic system is also required, please make an appointment with Physician Support at 845-368-5969.

STEP 1 - Observers, Interns and Clinical Rotation students, please review the following:

Observers Only:

STEP 3 - Clinical Rotation students ONLY, review and complete the following:

Clinical Rotations require a current health system agreement on file .

STEP 4 - Observers, Interns and Clinical Rotation students, gather the following documentation:

  • PPD Results (within one year)
  • If PPD positive, a Chest X-Ray report must be included
  • Rubella Titre
  • Rubeola(Measles) Titre, if born after 1/1/57
  • Flu Vaccine administered after November 1st.

Note:  All Observers are required to submit 2 letters of recommendation from a non-family member.

STEP 5 - Submit all completed paperwork and required documentation via email or fax to:
