The Bon Secours Community Hospital provides Occupation Therapy Services to its inpatients, outpatient, and nursing home residents, as well as serving mental health and substance abuse/detox patients. We focus on impaired physical functioning which can hamper the ability to perform life tasks.
We are licensed professionals who work to restore or improve physical abilities, promote behavioral changes, adapt surroundings, and teach new skills.
Our Outpatient clinic is located on the first floor, East Main Street entrance, and consists of a Registered Occupational Therapist and two Occupational Therapy Assistants. We help people adapt to a variety of challenges which include, but are not limited to:
- Job-related Injuries
- Stroke
- Neurological Problems
- Carpal-tunnel Syndrome
- Orthopedic Injuries
- Tendonitis
Therapy includes:
- Moist Heat
- Paraffin Therapy
- Ultrasound
- Iontophoresis
- Phonophoresis
- Gross Motor Activities
- Fine Motor Activities
We can also provide adaptive equipment to assist with independence in activities of daily living.
