The Sleep Disorder Center of Bon Secours Community Hospital at 30 Canal Street in Port Jervis, NY is a dedicated facility whose mission is to provide the highest quality sleep diagnostic services and to provide appropriate treatment to improve quality of life. We specialize in patient care for the adult and geriatric patient with board certified sleep physicians. Our new state of the art facility ensures the best possible patient experience, delivering compassionate professional care in a safe and comfortable environment.
 
We are accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.  Our physicians are credentialed in Sleep Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care in addition to a staff of credentialed and expertly trained technologists.

More than one quarter of the US population report occasionally not getting enough sleep as insufficient sleep is associated with a number of chronic diseases and conditions-such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, obesity and hypertension. Good sleep hygiene is an important practice, but if you or your loved ones sleep problems persist or interfere with daily function, you should seek evaluation from a physician familiar with assessing and treating sleep disorders.

Our board-certified sleep physicians are qualified to evaluate and provide treatment for a wide variety of adult  sleep disorders including one of the most common; obstructive sleep apnea. Our services include:

• Nocturnal Polysomnography,
• Polysomnography with Continuous Positive Airway Pressure
• Polysomnography with Adaptive Servo Ventilation
• Multiple Sleep Latency testing
• Maintenance of Wakefulness Testing for employment and motor vehicle certification

Your Experience:

The sleep center boasts beautifully appointed private rooms which include flat screen TV’s. Our queen size beds allow us to accommodate all patients comfortably. Our specially trained technicians will ensure that a patients experience during this painless non-invasive procedure is as pleasant and comfortable as possible.

Sleep Disorders

There are many types of sleep disorders that are evaluated at the center including obstructive sleep apnea, central sleep apnea, insomnia, restless leg syndrome, periodic limb movement disorder, parasomnias and narcolepsy. Information on all of these can be found from the menu on the left as well as an evaluation tool to tell if you are at high risk and some information on healthy sleeping habits.
