Bon Secours Community Hospital Foundation Raises More Than $40,000 at Annual Golf Outing
Event supports advances in healthcare for tristate residents
Port Jervis, N.Y. (September 23, 2019) – More than 100 players, including physicians, hospital employees, local business leaders and supporters participated in the Bon Secours Community Hospital Annual Golf Outing at High Point Golf Club in Montague, N.J. on August 26. Through the event, more than $40,000 was raised to help support ongoing investments in facilities, equipment, technology and services at Bon Secours Community Hospital, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth).
The outing included an 18-hole scramble, putting green contest, closest to the pin contest, hole in one drive and raffles. A dinner reception followed at the Erie Trackside Manor in Port Jervis.
"I'd like to thank everyone who helped make this a great outing," said Dick McKeeby, longtime chair of the event. "Bon Secours Community Hospital is vital to our area. The hospital is making exciting progress on projects that will elevate the level of healthcare and the quality of life in Port Jervis, and support from our community will help move that progress even further–it's important that all of us do what we can to pitch in."

Bon Secours Community Hospital is investing in a large-scale initiative to bring bold advances in healthcare to the tri-state area. Its $40 million Medical Village project, a collaborative effort with New York State, WMCHealth and community partners begins with the construction of a new, state-of-the-art Emergency Department (ED). The hospital has opened a temporary Emergency Department to serve patients while the new ED is under construction. This temporary space offers the same quality of care as a permanent ED with private patient bays, a separate cardiac treatment area, triage space and all new diagnostic and monitoring equipment. The hospital also has begun work on its new Imaging Center, an advanced facility that will bring patients advanced equipment and technology.
Golf outings were also held for Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern on September 16 and for St. Anthony Community Hospital on September 25.
